We ride for kids like Peyton.
Peyton was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2004. It grew back in 2011. She's had five brain surgeries and years of physical therapy. She's been the Children's Hospital Champion for Colorado (2010) and done a TEDx talk on courage (2017) and had her story featured in TENNIS magazine. With the help of the amazing staff at Children's Hospital Colorado, she is living a normal life as a junior in college and is no longer an oncology patient. She is healthy. She's a rock climber, tennis player, and a life-loving young woman. This is the short version of her story. She fought hard for 15 years and has suffered physical losses that no one can see but her. Her path is not always easy, and hasn't been, but she is here. Her story is one of hope.
That is why we founded Peyton's Hope in 2012. It is a dedicated endowment fund at Children's Hospital Colorado that will raise money forever to find treatments and a ultimately a cure for brain tumors. We don't want anyone to go through what Peyton has. But we know Peyton is one of the lucky ones, and so our way of fighting back and fighting for others is to raise money toward a cure.
As a team, if we rasie more than $50,000 we can direct all our team's fundraising to Peyton' Hope. Really, $50,000 is a starting point. I hope we raise $80-100K. I know we can. Join our team; ride with us. Donate to Peyton's Hope and fight brain tumors with us. Be a part; you will change lives by doing so.
