2017 Courage Classic

Kick Cancer's Ass

Our team started in memory of Delaney Goodner, a 16 year old girl who fought a rare cancer, Rhabdomyosarcoma, for 3.5 years before leaving this earth in December, 2011. She always said that children shouldn't have to have this disease and worried about the younger patients. So we fight in memory of those who have gone before us, and in prayer that someday the current and future children with cancer will have improved treatments, and that some day cancer will not exist.

Our team name has special meaning. Delaney didn't want her name attached to it as she wanted to focus on all children. When Delaney was in the first 6 months of her treatment we met a young man, about 19 years old, who was fighting a rare cancer. She was in the room next to him during his last hospital stay before going home to Wyoming to Hospice. When his mom told him Delaney was next door, he said to tell her to 'Kick Cancer's Butt!' My teenage boys put a spin on it to 'Kick Cancer's Ass!'

You can make a gift to any of our team member's personal fundraising pages. Just click on their name and donate. Thank you!
