My name is Quinn Hortt and I’m raising money to help children like myself get treated for celiac disease.
I was diagnosed with celiac disease at the age of 6. Many people don't know what celiac disease is and don't understand the challenges that come with it.
The only treatment for celiac disease is a strict, lifelong gluten-free diet. That means no cookies, no cupcakes, and no pancakes! Unless it's gluten Free! So a strict diet is tough and overwhelming. And yet, many insurances unfortunately do not cover a dietitian visit for patients with celiac disease. It is essential to have the support of a dietitian with celiac disease expertise!
I am raising funds to help other children like myself to have gluten-free diet education and support, regardless of insurance coverage or ability to pay out of pocket.
Celiac disease is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects up to 1-3% of the population. Kids with celiac disease can have poor growth, nutrient deficiencies, and gastrointestinal symptoms, as well as many more. At the Colorado Center for Celiac Disease, they diagnose over 400 kids
Please help me meet my goal!
