My son Matthew was a Colorado Children's Hospital patient during 1996-2002 while we battled Neuroblastoma, a form of childhood cancer, for 6 valiant years. Matt was happy, energetic, and full of life and demonstrated great courage over the years, even riding this ride during his last 3 years of life as a member of Team Courage, the team of hospital patients who ride individually or on tandems with parents to raise money to help children like Matt. He rode with my husband Brent and loved this ride; Matt even recruited his doctor to ride with us!
Though Mattew didn't survive his disease, we continue to support Colorado Children's Hospital to save kids like him from cancer and other terrible diseases that inflict the innocent. Please support my ride by donating to Colorado Children's Hospital now. We have our own branch of the hospital in Colorado Springs which means no more commuting to Denver like we did for those treatment years, and your donation dollars will stay here in the Springs to help our local children who need hospital care--there is no better cause!
