I am honored to ride in the Courage Classic this year in support of the cardiology department at Children's Hospital of Colorado.
The expert team of cardiologists, surgeons, and caregivers at the CICU and CPCU saved our sweet Bodhi's life on July 31, 2019 when he was less than six months old. Bodhi was born with a critical heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot, which was completely undetected until after birth. What at first was thought to be a mild heart murmur turned into something far scarier for our family, and over the first six months of his life Bodhi had nearly weekly visits at Children's Hospital.
On July 31, 2019 our sweet boy underwent surgery on triple bypass. The surgery was slated to take six hours but ended up taking eight hours due to complications restarting his heart.
If it weren't for the amazing care and incredibly talented team at Children's Hospital Colorado, Bodhi's heart defect may have gone undetected and could have resulted in a shocking heartbreak for our family.
We are beyond grateful for the care we received and are dedicated to giving back however we can. Thank you for visiting our page - I hope you'll contribute to this amazing cause and help other kids like Bodhi continue to receive an exceptional level of care at Children's Hospital Colorado.
