I have been at Children's Hospital Colorado for a little under three years (it's wild how time flies when you love what you do!). Last year, in 2020, I had decided that I wanted to become more involved with the organization by participating in the Courage Classic. Unfortunately, as we are all very much aware, the pandemic halted those plans (and the world) and we had to patiently wait to see if this would become a possibility this year. While many of my peers will be heading up to Copper Mountain for an in-person ride on July 17th, I will be joining them virtually by riding the length of one of the rides on my own.
I chose to ride the Courage Classic because I care about the patients that I have met throughout my time here at Children's Hospital Colorado. They come from all walks of life and have all impacted me in some way, shape, or form. but a positive impact nonetheless. This organization has seen thousands of patients from several different states and countries who come here to access some of the best medical care there is and I am thankful that I get the opportunity to interact with these patients in my day to day life.
Some of these patients are only here for a few hours, some have a few weeks stay, and for others they have been here since they took their first breath of life.
With this first ride, I hope to challenge myself to ride for those who wish to but may be unable to. I am excited to be a part of something bigger than myself and I am proud to be a member of an organization that provides so much for these children. The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge, but also an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for children.
Any amount that you are able to donate to help me achieve my goal of $500.00 by the end of this month is EXTREMELY appreciated. If now is not a good time, I completely understand and I only ask that you share with your loved ones who may be able to do the same for me. We have all seen the power of social media and sharing and I ask that we use it for a positive impact on these kids' lives. Thank you so much in advance!
