I have decided to challenge myself and join the Courage Classic, which is bike ride through the beautiful Rocky Mountains. The Courage Classic helps provide lifesaving care for children at the region's only nonprofit pediatric hospital.
I went into the nursing profession because I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself, be constantly challenged, and have a meaningful relationship with my patients and families. I always hear “it takes a special person to do what you do!” Honestly, anybody can be anything if they just have courage. I believe that life can never be experienced to its fullest capacity without courage. You must stay strong, keep moving and never give up!
This is Noah, he is one of the reasons I do what I do. Noah was diagnosed with metastatic Ewing's Sarcoma and has made it through 14 rounds of chemotherapy and over 40 sessions of radiation. He never let his diagnosis define him. He constantly pushed the limits, continued to be active and always showed me how to live life courageously.
I’m asking for your support in order to make a difference for Noah, and kids like him, who depend on Children's Colorado. Let’s keep these courageous kids fighting with all the help they deserve, one mountain pass at a time.
