I am supporting the Courage Classic for patients like those of my friends and colleagues.
I have watched in awe as team from Children’s has helped these friends' children with rare brain tumors. The medical services were amazing, but so was the psychological support for parents and children. One of these children is doing incredibly well right now. Unfortunately, another family lost their son just last year after a battle with cancer.
I am thankful to know that Children’s is in my own backyard. The Children's Hospital, Colorado, has been around for more than 100 years. The people at Children's take care of some of the sickest kids around, as well as kids who just need typical childhood care. They also educate pediatricians, pediatric specialists, nurses and other health-care professionals. Children's is a non-profit, so the people there rely upon donors to help them sustain their excellence.
Please consider donating.
The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge, but also an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for children.
