We are riding in support of our son, Jeremiah Robert Laux.
Jeremiah was born with Trisomy 21, or Down Syndrome. While the birth diagnosis was a lot to process at the time, we have had eight months with our little love. Eight months has given us a chance to replace fear with confidence. Replace doubt and discouragement with hope for the future (Jeremiah 29:11).
While there is a lot of work to do, we are so fortunate to have been welcomed into a large new "family". The Sie Center for Down Syndrome at The Children's Hospital of Colorado has been an incredible community of support and will continue to provide the education, tools and research needed to help Jeremiah in all aspects with his physical, mental and social growth.
This ride, the Courage Classic, is the first of many challenges that our family will undertake in efforts to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for our Jeremiah.
Thank you for your support. It means so much to us that you are along for the ride :)
