Update (7/7): Everyone has been so generous that I reached my fundraising goal of $1,000 dollars in just under 16 hours! I have decided to raise my goal to $2,000 since the donations keep coming in. I honestly had no idea what to expect, and I thought that $1,000 might have been too much. I am overwhelmed with everyone's generosity! Thank you all so much!
Hello! Thank you for visiting my page!
On July 20-21, I will be riding in the Courage Classic put on by Children's Hospital Colorado. This means that I will be biking 162 miles through the mountains of Colorado to raise money for Children's Hospital Colorado. I would be honored if you could support me in this endeavour. I love biking and exploring Colorado and am stoked to do these things to support these children.
I will be riding in honor of my fellow seminarian and friend, Peter Srsich (try to pronounce that name!). Peter was diagnosed with blood cancer during his junior year of high school in 2011. He spent 65 nights at Childrens Hospital in Aurora during his chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Today, we are seminarians together studying to become priests for the Archdiocese of Denver. Here is an great article to learn more about Peter's story (copy and paste the link): https://denvercatholic.org/cancer-patients-wish-become-priest-coming-true/
My friend Andrea is a pediatric oncology nurse at Children's Hospital meaning she treats children with cancer like Peter. She has been encouraging (i.e. pestering) me all year to sign up for the Courage Classic with her team. I wasn't sure if I could raise all the required funds since they will charge me if I don't fundraise enough. But, I decided to take a leap of faith and sign up. This is where you come in. Would you consider supporting me with a donation? I would be honored to receive whatever amount you feel comfortable giving. 100% of your donation goes to Children's Hospital. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!
Your grateful friend, Ryan Kent
