If you don't know or have never used Children's Hospital for any services you either a) may not have children, b) used a different hospital for your children's needs, or c) are just extremely lucky.
My family has used Children's Hospital's services for everything from colds/flus to broken bones. They provide a tremendous benefit not only to the Denver community, but several other states as well.
I am supporting the Courage Classic for patients like Daniel, a friend's son, who had leukemia as a teenager and now completed his first year of college because of the top notch care he received at Children's; for another friend's son, Koby, who had a brain tumor also treated at Children's; and another friend who had leukemia as a young adult, now cancer free for 30 years.
As a cancer survivor myself, I am passionate about supporting causes that provide research and care for patients and families. I too am a child, a mother, a sister, aunt, and a wife. I ride in support of patients facing incredible medical challenges, as I did, a true testament to the resilience, courage, and strength of the human spirit against all odds.
The people I am riding for will not be the last to face a life-threatening illness, and their families will not be the last to navigate a frightening diagnosis.
The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge, but also an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for all children.
