I am supporting the Courage Classic for patients like Logan, who was diagnosed with a rare cancerous tumor. Only 350 children in the U.S. had been diagnosed with this form of cancer, and just 30 percent survived. Thanks to the care he received at Children's Hospital Colorado, Logan is a thriving 11-year-old. Logan will not be the last child to face a life-threatening illness, and his family will not be the last to navigate a frightening diagnosis of cancer.
As a PA in the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, I see kids fight for their lives every day. This year I am taking up the challenge in riding in the Courage Classic for the first time because our patients and families deserve to have people to fight for them. By donating to our team, Wheels of Justice, you are contributing to the Wellness Team that helps kids and families cope with the marathon of chemotherapy, scans, and hospitalizations, as well as supporting pediatric cancer research being conducted here at Children's Hospital.
