This will be my third year riding in the Courage Classic and I ride to support patients of the Heart Institute by riding with the Cardiac Climbers team.
Congenital heart defects (CHD) affect approximately 40,000 babies born in the United States each year (1). Thanks to the amazing, evidence based care our CHD patients receive in the Heart Institute at Children's Hospital Colorado, our patients can successfully live longer and healthier lives.
Hopefully one day we can eradicate CHD but while there continue to be babies born with CHD, the Heart Institute at Children's Hospital Colorado will strive to continually improve the care of these patients and their families.
The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge, but also an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for children.
Please consider donating to my page to support the care of our patients!
