I am excited to complete my second year as a part of the Children’s Hospital Colorado team by riding in the 2019 Courage Classic. I will be riding for the Cardiac Climbers and raising money for the Heart Institute at CHCO. This ride will undoubtedly be a personal challenge, but more importantly a means to support the outcomes and lives of the kids that I have the opportunity to work with every day. This year I am riding for one of our patients Teagyn. Here is a bio from her parents!
”Teagyn was diagnosed with ASD and a single abnormal vein course. Due to this she was required to have open heart surgery in October of last year. Teagyn is a happy, full of life dual language 1st grader! She loves anything and everything active. She is constantly challenging herself to keep up with her 2 older sisters. Her hobbies include snowboarding, wakeboarding, skateboarding, soccer, volleyball, basketball, running, dance, swimming, rock climbing and riding her bike. Her most favorite thing to do is hang out with her Gigi. She is our little gift from GOD!”
Congenital heart disease is one of the most common birth defects. Families with children suffering from CHD face numerous long periods of hospitalizations and their lives are forever changed. I ride for kids who rely on the care from Children’s Hospital like Teagyn, who despite it all, still has a big smile across her face.
Please help me reach my goal and support the Heart Institute at Children's Hospital Colorado!
