I am supporting the Courage Classic for patients like my nephew Mason
Mason was diagnosed with a rare metabolic disease, called Cobalamin-C. This disease is inherited which involves defects in a protein used to change Vitamin B-12 into a form your body then uses to break down certain amino acids and fats. Cobalamin-C effects it's patients differently and so far for Mason, the disease has really only effected his vision. However he makes one of the cutest 3 year olds with glasses.
Mason will not be the last child to face an inherited rare disease, nor will my brother's family be the last to navigate through this life changing diagnosis. Thanks to the incredible team of doctors at the Children's Hospital Colorado, Mason and his family have been well taken care of and informed of what to expect.
The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge, but an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for all children going through challenges in their lives.
