I am supporting the Courage Classic for patients like Cameron.
Cameron's family had a history of cardiac disease. When he was 6-months-old his cardiologist found an ASD (Atrial Septal Defect) and decided to monitor the hole to see if it would close on its own. Unfortunately, the hole kept getting larger and it got so large so quickly that they were unable to perform the repair by catheterization and instead had to perform it by open heart surgery. On May 8, 2018 Cameron had his ASD repair done by Dr. Dave Campbell. He had an incredible recovery – he was up walking the day after the surgery and went home not needing any pain medications.
I am dedicating this Courage classic tour in Cameron's honor!
The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge, but also an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for children.
