I am supporting the Courage Classic and Children’s Hospital Colorado. Children’s and the University of Colorado are the place where my sons, Ryan and Evan, were born and spent the first several weeks of their lives as premature and underweight newborns. They received amazing care from neonatal intensive care doctors, nurses (my god, those nurses were amazing), and staff, and Jennie and I received incredible support during a scary and difficult time. I’m thankful every day.
Children’s also cares for kids like Logan. Logan was diagnosed with a rare cancerous tumor. Only 350 children in the U.S. had been diagnosed with this form of cancer, and just 30 percent survived. Thanks to the care he received at Children's Hospital Colorado, Logan is a thriving 11-year-old.
Logan will not be the last child to face a life-threatening illness, and his family will not be the last to navigate a frightening diagnosis.
The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge, but also an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for children.
