I am riding The Courage Classic in honor of Jacob, Madeline, and all the other children who have had to, and are currently being treated at Children's Hospital.
Children's Hospital is an amazing place. They help children will all different needs with compassion and love. My son Jacob broke his femur when he was in middle school. He had to have surgery to place a titanium rod in his leg. His stay and rehabilitation was amazing. The doctors and nurses were amazing. Also, my friend's daughter, Madeline has had to spend a significant amount of time at Children's. She was recently diagnoised with a rare genetic disorder. This led to a rare form of thyroid cancer. She had to have surgery to remove her thyroid and lymph nodes. She still works closely with them to manage and monitor how she is doing.
The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge, but also an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for children.
