Last year, my son, Elias, and I rode in the Courage Classic for the first time. We were able to raise $1000 and had a great experience.
This year, the whole family is participating. We are setting a goal to raise at least $5000. We signed on to ride as a part of the Children's Hospital Anesthesia Department and Dream Team.
We are supporting the Courage Classic for patients like Martha.
Martha was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, and given a 25 to 30 percent chance of survival. Thanks to her positive attitude and the care she received at Children’s Hospital Colorado, she conquered cancer.
Martha will not be the last child to face a life-threatening illness, and her family will not be the last to navigate a frightening diagnosis.
The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge, but also an opportunity to support positive outcomes for kids and families who rely on Children's Colorado for care.
