We already know the high points about Cooper; he is smart, he is fearless, and he can make even Oscar the Grouch smile! But aside from his sunny disposition and crazy athletic talents, Cooper is rapidly becoming the poster child and unofficial Heart Institute and Arrhythmia Service ambassador for living with sudden cardiac arrest. Can anything slow this guy down? Unlikely!
Your support goes directly to the Heart Institute and makes the amazing patient care and research possible. Our past successes include completing the first multi-center study of the subcutaneous implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) in children and those with congenital heart disease. Additionally, we participate in the multicenter registry for patients with catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT), the condition that Cooper has. It is work like this that makes working at Children's Hospital so rewarding and working with patients like Cooper so inspiring.
Cooper and I would like to thank you for all the support and encouragement as we support the amazing work at Children's Hospital Colorado.
