I'm riding to support all the kids at Children's Hospital Colorado, but specifically because fund raising through the Wheels of Justice is a big reason that the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders is able to have a fantastic Wellness Program. Blood disorders and cancer are REALLY difficult. They would be even more terrible if there weren't resources like art therapy, social work, and psychology, to help kids and families cope with the challenges.
I've been heavily encouraged to ride in the Courage Classic for several years, but to be honest I've been too scared to ride a road bike. Last year I rode 50 miles in many segments on relatively flat road. This year I am going to try the 42 mile ride including going over Vail Pass. AAAAAA!!! I am nervous, but it's not close to as scary as what many of the kids and families at Children's Hospital Colorado go through every day.
Will you please donate to help keep me accountable, and to keep COVID-19 from affecting the resources that we can offer kids with blood disorders and cancer?
Thanks for considering!
