Dear Friends and Family,
It's time to saddle up and ride! Yes, I am venturing into my third year riding in the Courage Classic as a Member of the Department of Anesthesiology "Dream Team"! After three years, I think my bum is starting to get used to this, though it's still not enough to tackle the 80 mile loop! My goal for this year is to complete the 40 mile rides on Saturday and Sunday (80 miles total). Pray for strong legs and good weather!
Once again I will ride in honor of the children I care for every day. The Courage Classic often spotlights stories of children requiring major surgery or with life threatening illness- open heart procedures, transplants, cancer kids. We see all of these children, providing state-of-the art anesthetic care and sharing smiles and tears with them and their families. But, we also care for thousands of other kids who will never see the "spotlight" - a friend's child who had their tonsils out, the neighbor's baby who needed a sedated hearing test, my own child who broke his leg and needed a cast (true story). I ride for all of these kids, big and small, having procedures big or small.
Please consider supporting me in my fund-raising efforts to advance anesthesia care for kids at Children's Hospital Colorado...and my quest to not fall over with my feet still clipped to my pedals! All support and well-wishes are greatly appreciated! Don't wait - become a "Dream Maker" today!!
Thanks and Cheers!
