This will be my 8th time participating in the Courage Classic. The first 5 years were with my son Parker starting when he was 5 (see photo). He is now 28! I learned then and in all the subsequent years how invaluable Children's Hospital is for those kids in need.
This year I am on a team raising money to help children that suffer with mental and behavioral health issues. While all childhood illnesses are incredibly hard, I see this as one of the hardest because it is so challenging to treat. There is no greater joy than seeing a happy kid. Please help me make this a reality for more Colorado kids.
You may be wondering how a virtual bike ride works ... well, me too. So, girlfriend, Jenn and I have decided that we will log miles on our tandem bike. We have set a goal of riding 500 miles between May 15 and August 31 around Colorado. One of our first rides was doing the loop from Castle Rock to Larkspur, along Perry Park Rood and back to Castle Rock (38miles). Another was from Glenwood Springs down the canyon and then to Carbondale and back (45 miles). We are over 200 so far and I am confident that with your encouragement we can make it to 500.
I have decided to match every dollar I raise up to $500 which is $1/mile with the goal of raising $1,000 in total. Will you help me towards this goal and more importantly help our team provide critical dollars to the Children's Hospital Mental Health program. Gifts of any size are welcome and appreciated.
