I am riding in my 5th Courage Classic in 2017.
The Wheels of Justice has been a true family to me and my family, I am so grateful to be a part of this team. A neighbor passed me by 6 years ago and asked me if I rode a bike, my response was "no, not really". We started talking and I learned that Bernie rode in the Courage Classic for over 15 years. He lost his son, Nathan, to childhood cancer in 1993 before his second birthday. Bernie has honored his son by riding in this event for almost 20 years and raising tens of thousands of dollars.
I knew immediately that this was an event I had to get involved in, I have now ridden in 3 Triple Bypass events, Ride the Rockies and as many miles a year as I can. I love riding, I love the Wheels of Justice Family and am so grateful to be able to contibute to this very important cause.
The WOJ aim to raise over $300,000 each year and those funds are directed to The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. The team has raised over $3 Million which has created a Wellness team in the hospital, funds residents and their research and has drastically changed the experience these kids have at the hospital.
No donation is too small, thank you for reading, riding, and donating!
