Why I ride
This will be my 18th Courage Classic ride. Due to the pandemic, I lost my consecutive streak last year when the ride was cancelled. In November 2002, at age 11, our son Paul was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. Paul was diagnosed and treated at The Children's Hospital in Denver by an unbelievable team of knowledgeable and skillful physicians, nurses and staff. This year, Paul celebrates 18 years in remission after treatment ended on May 9, 2003. Paul is currently a medical student at the University of Milan, Italy. I do this ride for one reason: As a way to show my support for saving Paul's life, literally. When Paul was in need, The Children's Hospital was there and fully functional and supportive. Won't you please help us "pay it forward" in providing the same kind of care to kids who are being diagnosed and treated now and in the future? Thank you for your donation of any amount.
I hope this picture of Paul today will be proof enough of the miracles that occur every day at The Children's Hospital.
