As always, my participation in the Courage Classic is in memory of my son Noah, who died of a genetic disorder, and in support of the Children's Hospital who helped us so much in the days and weeks after his death. I will never be able to bring him with me, but I can carry him up every hill and mountain in my heart. He inspires me to push harder when the road gets difficult, and dig deeper when I feel like I can't go any further.
I ride as a proud member of The Gene Team that raises money for the Genetics & Inherited Metabolic Diseases Clinic at The Children's Hospital. They helped our family understand the disease, MCAD, that took Noah from us. The IMD clinic also works with the families of children who were lucky enough to get their diagnosis in time to begin treatment, but also need help meeting the financial challenges of caring for these kids.
Thank you for any donation you can make to this cause.
With our thanks, Chris, Sarah, Noah, Aaron, and Katie!
