Thank you for visiting my page! This will be the 5th time I am riding in the Courage Classic, a benefit for Denver's Children's Hospital. I have been very happy to help raise money for the hospital, which has, on occasion, taken excellent care of my children, as well as the children of most of my friends.
This year the ride will be especially meaningful, as it is the first year of our new team, Climb for Coop.
We first met Cooper Deming and his parents, Scott and Amy, when our kids were in the same infant daycare, and have been overlapping with them at social gatherings, schools, and sports teams ever since. When Cooper was 12, he was diagnosed with a DIPG tumor in his brainstem. Despite the amazing strength and endurance of Cooper and his family, sadly, Cooper passed away a few days before his 13th birthday.
It turns out that the type of brain cancer Cooper had currently has a ZERO percent survival rate. Our team would like that to change. If our team raises $50,000 or more, we will be able to direct that everything we raise goes specifically to support pediatric cancer research. Please donate to our team, to support this research, and the excellent care that Cooper, and so many other children, receive at Children's Hospital.
Many, many thanks -
