This summer Randy, Megan and I are riding with the CU Medicine Team in the annual Courage Classic, a fundraiser for the Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation. One of the many ways the foundation supports patients is by treating all children, regardless of their ability to pay, because they believe all kids deserve the opportunity for good health
The Courage Classic is not only an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for children, but also a personal challenge. The ride is a 2 day event in July, and we've started training. My goal is to ride the long routes both days, 76 miles and an elevation gain of 7506 feet on day 1, and 84 miles and an elevation gain of 8486 feet on day 2. (ok...maybe the long route on 1 day). We have participated in the Courage Classic numerous times and the patients, or former patients of Children's Hosptial, cheer us on along the route. The ride is challenging but nothing compared to what these children have gone through. Please consider making a donation. We appreciate anything you can do.
