Why I ride
I am riding in the Courage Classic in honor of Moriah Grace, who was diagnosed with Tricuspid Atresia and Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome before she was born. She has received world class care via the Children's Hospital for two heart surgeries. She is doing extremely well, is living a very active and full life and has a wonderful prognosis, beating what were at the time very scary odds. The care given at Children's is truly profound and has had a tremendous impact on how Moriah is doing, and her family is thankful beyond words for everyone there.
I also ride in memory of Jared Lujan, the ultimate Google Eyed Warrior who fought a three year battle with cancer that ended on April 4, 2006. To honor his life, courageous battle and the hospital that made such a difference during this battle, his family setup Jared’s Google Eyed Warrior Team ten years ago to ride in the Children’s Hospital Courage Classic. For more information about Jared and his battle, check out his memorial website at http://jaredlujan.memory-of.com/.
This will be my 13th tour in 14 years, and although I have relocated to Texas, I look forward to continuing to ride in the Courage Classic with Jared's Google-Eyed Warriors in the years to come.
I hope you'll consider supporting my ride with a tax-deductible donation to Children's Hospital Colorado.
