Why I ride
Being a kid can be challenging under normal circumstances, but some kids face even harder medical challenges. My twin grandsons Blake and Kaleb were six weeks premature when they were born in July 2009. As "preemies," they required lots of medical attention early in their lives. Even after being discharged from neonatal ICU, each had at least one emergency trip to Children's Hospital for medical care that may well have saved their lives. They turn 10 years old just days after the 2019 Courage Classic, and they're doing great (as you can see from the photo above). So I ride for all the kids (and their families) who need help and for Children's Hospital, which has made a difference in the lives of Blake and Kaleb.
