My 6th Courage Classic
Brandon Nuechterlein, my brother-in-law, is a Leukemia Survivor. He is a survivor because of Children's Hospital and the amazing doctors in the CCBD. I could tell you a really long story, his story about how it affected his family and my wife, Brandon's Sister, but I won't. I will tell you that if he was treated at any other hospital in the world he would probably not have survived, and I would be without him as my best friend.
Fortunately, Brandon's story is a happy one. I started riding in the Courage Classic for Brandon 6 years ago. Today, I don't ride for him anymore. I ride with him. And, I ride for all the other children that will have to face much harder challenges than I have in my life, when they find themselves at Children's Hospital.
This year our team will honor the memory of Fynn Cox, riding with his family's team, The Fynn Fighters. Fynn was diagnosed with a DIPG (incurable and inoperable) brain tumor in December of 2016. He and his family set out to ride in the Courage Classic in 2017 as he knew he only had limited time left. Sadly, Fynn passed away in April and did not make it to the Courage Classic.
I can only hope my efforts and your donations will help more families have survivor stories. $10 donations go a long way, there is no amount too small to donate. Although, we always like more :)
Thank you for reading, and donating!!!
