Why I ride
I am riding in the Courage Classic for kids like Noah. Noah was born with a congenital heart defect. Within his first few months of life, Noah’s treatment involved a hole being punctured in his heart and eventually open-heart surgery. Noah is now a healthy 14-year-old who rides in the Courage Classic thanks to the care he received at Children’s Colorado. His favorite day is not Christmas or even his birthday, but the end of the Courage Classic when he gets to hand out medals at the finish line.
Noah will not be the last child to face a life-threatening illness, and his family will not be the last to navigate a frightening diagnosis. The Courage Classic is both a personal challenge and an opportunity to support positive outcomes for kids and families who need Children's Colorado. In addition, we have 2 children of people in our office who have benefitted from the services of Children's Hospital, one with muscular dystrophy and the other who has now been placed in a program with the National Institute of Health to try to determine his unknown disease.
Thank you for any donation you may wish to make. It will be well used by Children's Hospital.
