I am supporting the Courage Classic for Mackenzie!
Mackenzie was born with a rare metabolic disease called phenylketonuria or PKU for short. This metabolic disorder gives her a limited amount of daily protein intake and will be a diet for life. She's been a patient at Children's Hospital Colorado since birth. She's now going on 13 years, old involved with the Colorado Childrens Chorale and is a leader and role model at her Middle School.
I decided to ride in this to challenge myself and support Childrens Hospital and everything they've done for Kenzie over the past thirteen years . We would not be where we are without out them. I'm riding with the gene team which is other parents of kids with rare diseases and all of our metabolic doctors nurses and their families. I'm going to start raining hard so that I can complete the 80 plus miles over 2 days!
Mackenzie and I would really love any support of any amount to go towards our huge goal of $1,500. We have two months to make that happen thank you to everybody in advance for the support and help to reach our goal. I'm going to ride my butt off and make you all proud!
