This is my first year doing the Courage Classic and I hope it is the first of many. As many of you know I have been a pediatric oncology nurse for 11 years and have been at Children's Hospital Colorado for 9 of them. This year I am doing the ride in honor of one of the beautiful patient's I had the honor of caring for, who lost her battle with leukemia - Taylor Boyle. She is one of the patient's who has changed my life, molded my heart and keeps me returning to Children's every day. She lost her battle with cancer on February 13th of this year. It is an understatement to say I am grateful for the many days of itsy bitsy spider, of her diva attitude, her love of peek-a-boo and always ending the day with a couple blown kisses my way. The love of her parents Leah and Sean and her two brothers was unbelievable to witness and I am so grateful to have had the honor of being apart of her story.
Please help us in the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders continue to fight for kids like Taylor. All of the money donated to the Wheels of Justice is sent directly back to the CCBD in order to better treat our patients and support their families. I am honored that Sean and Leah are allowing me to ride this year for Taylor. Thank you so much for your support!
