I ride for a number of reasons. As a teacher I have seen Children's Hospital save the life of my students. Kidney transplants, fighting cancer, and many other illnesses that no child should ever have to suffer through. Children's has also impacted my family directly. As the father of an Autistic son we have had to use their services. My Nephew (who has high needs) wouldn't be alive if not for them. I also ride for my friend Amy who lost her daughter to cancer. As a father I can't imagine any greater loss.
The Courage Classic is an amazing event. It is one of the few activities I do that I can see the money I've raised in action. I know where my teams funds are being allocated and the people that are benefiting from it. This year will be the first year that I get to do the courage classic with my own family. I hope my boys will be as inspired by the people and things they see as I am.
I appreciate any help you want to give: Money, ride with us, or even a good luck! Thank you!
