Thank you for visiting my page! This is the 6th time I am riding in the Courage Classic, a benefit for Denver's Children's Hospital. This year the ride will be especially meaningful, as we official launch CLIMB FOR COOP.
As many of you know, the Highlands neighborhood where I live is a tight, community- and family-oriented scene of supportive and fun folks. The kids and I love the community of friends we've built here via the early days of daycare, a baby-sitting co-op, chatting with other parents on the local elementary school playgrounds, and continually running into friends and neighbors on the streets surrounding 32nd & Lowell.
Within that special network is the Hudson-Deming family. We first met Amy, Scott and son Cooper when the kids were infants at daycare--probably during volunteer hours, wiping down highchairs or changing diapers. Our tragic inspiration for the team is Cooper. Cooper was a sweet, 12-you boy who in May 2017 was struck down by a rare brain cancer.
CLIMB FOR COOP celebrates not only Cooper, but also so many other kids from our community -- Madeline, Ivy, Judah, Myles and many more kiddos. CLIMB FOR COOP celebrates the power of community. This year our goal is to build our team and fundraising to $50,000+ so that we can specifically direct monies to pediatric cancer research. Please donate, and let me know if you'd like to join the team as a rider or virtual rider!
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
