Friends and Family-
I have been challenged to a fund-raising competition by Micah Gruenwald, a bold and brash 12 year old who is riding Courage for the 4th time, now in memory of his older brother Koby who died in 2018 from a brain tumor that had been diagnosed two years earlier. I will be riding in the "tour de Koby" as our substitute virtualized Courage Classic here on Sunday july 12th. I hope you will support my ride, and/or Micah's, as we join with a community who will always remember and love Koby, and who loves his incredible family- mom Melanie, Dad Rabbi Salomon, sister Hannah and the bold and brash brother Micah. This ride will be about faith, and hope, and healing and I am now really excited about it after being so sad that the normal ride was not able to happen. The picture on my page is me with Koby after the 2016 ride - a picture and memory I will always cherish.
I have set my initial fundraising goal at $18,000 - many of you will recognize the significance of the 18- multiplier- 18 is the numeric equivalent of the hebrew letters for the word "Chai", or life -and has special meaning for us and certainly for this special ride. (I will bump my goal to $36,000 if things are going well!)
Thank you for your support again this year-- All contributions are fully tax-deductible as permitted. The children of Colorado, the mountain states and beyond appreciate your support, and so do I. And so does Micah. Lets see how we do. you are on, KID!
Thank you!
Dan
